Why I started Gentle Paws
For me, grooming is about far more than achieving a beautiful finish. Every appointment is a chance to support a dog's physical health, emotional wellbeing, and confidence. A well-groomed dog should leave not only looking good, but feeling comfortable, safe, and cared for.
That belief is why Gentle Paws exists - a private, one-to-one studio in Compton, Wolverhampton, built around a simple idea: every dog is an individual, and my job is to understand the dog in front of me, not fit them into a standard process.

Every appointment at Gentle Paws begins with one question: "What is best for this dog?" That question shapes everything I do.
I work one-to-one, by appointment only, in a calm private studio in Compton, Wolverhampton - no cages, no rushing, no overlapping bookings. Every dog is treated as an individual, given time to settle, and handled with the patience their comfort deserves. Welfare always comes before appearance.
I'm a qualified, insured, DBS-checked groomer, and I never compromise a dog's wellbeing for the sake of speed or a "perfect" finish.

Qualified, insured & professional
Sadie holds an iPET Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management (Four Paws Groom School), a Level 3 Canine First Aid qualification, an Enhanced DBS certificate, and is fully insured. Ongoing training keeps handling techniques and welfare knowledge continually improving.
I'm committed to ongoing professional development, and continue to invest in training to improve my handling techniques and knowledge of canine health, behaviour, and welfare.

The Studio
Gentle Paws is based in a private, peaceful studio in Compton, Wolverhampton — filled with natural light, fitted with non-slip flooring, electric tables and baths, and kept comfortable all year round.
There are no cages, no busy waiting rooms, and no overlapping appointments. Just one dog, fully looked after, for the whole visit.

I promise to treat every dog with the same kindness, patience, and respect I would want for my own. I will never rush, force, or compromise a dog's wellbeing for the sake of appearance or efficiency.
